Adele I. Carlson

Adele I. Carlson, age 91 of Baraga passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2001 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital.
She was born on April 12, 1910 in Baraga, daughter to the late Herman and Wendla (Osterholm) Johnson. Adele graduated from Baraga High School in 1928. She married Otto Carlson in December of 1934 in Chicago. They resided in Chicago and Wisconsin and returned to Baraga in 1945. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, cooking, knitting, and crocheting.
Adele is survived by two sons, James Carlson of Chatsworth, CA, Robert (Patricia) Carlson of Beloit, WI; two daughters, Judith Carlson of Baraga, Jean Baril of L'Anse; one sister Ethel Johnson of Baraga; five grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Otto on February 10, 1988, and two brothers Walfred and Evald Johnson.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 24, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Pastor Judy Mattson will officiate. Burial will be in the Baraga Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home of L'Anse is in charge of arrangements.
