Alice Marion Kosey

Alice was born December 2, 1914 in Arkansaw, WI, the daughter of the late Lee and Maude Weisinger. She attended school in Brantwood, WI.

In 1932 she married Wallace Kosey in Waukegan, IL. They moved to Ontonagon and lived there most of their lives. Wallace preceded her in death on February 17, 1987.

Action Alice worked for many years for the Community Action Agency. She was also an active member of the United Methodist Church and the Eagles Auxiliary.

She loved to play games and have guests. When you got to the door, the coffee was on and lunch was made. There was always room for one more.

Survivors include one daughter, Jean (Bill) Giesau and one son, Jay Kosey; both of Ontonagon.

Six grandchildren, Wanda McKay, Wayne (Becky) Giesau, Jacelyn (Rick) Pietila, Lucas and Travis Kosey, all of Ontonagon, and Lori (Rick) Ramirez of Merced, CA.

Eight great-grandchildren, Lisa (Cameron) Bledso of Severn, MD; Jeffrey & Jeremy Giesau of Ironwood, MI; Shannon Westie, Atwater, CA; Nicole (Brian) Turpin, Salinas, CA; Kristy Ramirez, Merced, CA and Jessica (Brandon) Dompier of L'Anse, MI.

Eleven great-great grandchildren: Kylie, Addison, and Brooklyn Dompier of L'Anse, MI; Bud, Chance, Logan and Morgan Bledsoe of Severn, MD; Brayden, Bodie and Bentley Turpin of Salinas, CA and Conor Giesau of Ironwood, MI. In addition to numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, a half-brother, Louie, and brothers George, Leroy and William Weisinger; three sisters, Mamie Roehm, Ethel Jacobson and Ruth Pestka.

Alice was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held in the spring in Ontonagon. The Jacobson Funeral Home in L'Anse is assisting the family.
