Allyson Emelia Cotter

Allyson Emelia Cotter, age 13, of Nisula, Michigan, passed away on June 27th, 2023.

She was born on April 7, 2010, in Hancock, MI. Allyson is survived by her father Matthew Cotter, mother Kristin (Juntunen) Kovach, stepfather Roger Kovach, brothers Joshua Cotter and Colton Kovach, and sisters Riley Kovach, Charlie Kovach, paternal grandfather Daniel Cotter, paternal grandmother Bonny Connor, maternal grandmother Debbie Darby. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather James Juntunen.

Allyson grew up in L'Anse, Michigan and Nisula, Michigan where she attended L'Anse middle school. She enjoyed drawing, playing video games, and spending time with family and friends. She participated in figure skating, gymnastics, band, and was an honors student. Allyson was a kind, brave spirit who was always helpful and endlessly positive. She was as funny as she was sweet and always knew how to make people laugh.

A celebration of life event will be held at Jacobson's funeral home on Tuesday, July 11th at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Corey Litzner officiating. Family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Nisula Cemetery.
