Aloys Margaret Tober

Aloys Tober, age 71 of Baraga passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2005 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital.

She was born June 1, 1934 in Cleveland, Ohio daughter to the late Aloysious and Margaret (Fitzgerald) Gaertner. Aloys grew up in Cleveland and married Edward Donald Tober on September 10, 1955 in Parma, Ohio. In 1959 they moved to Baraga. She was an accomplished artist. Her enjoyments included gardening, plants, and she loved to travel with her husband. Aloys was a member of the Red Hats.

Totally devoted to her husband and family; she was a super mom and grandmother. Surviving are her 7 children, Valois Miron of Wyoming, Chrysan (Bryan) Carlson of Michigamme, MI, Eric Tober of California, Becky (Peter) Massie of Baraga, Siena Tober of Baraga, Guy (Carmen) Tober of Laurium, MI and Micah (Mary) Tober of Alston; 11 grandchildren; brother, Tim (Nancy) Gaertner of Montana; and a sister Rosemarie (Gene) Hritz of Ellicott City, Maryland.

She was preceded in death by her husband E. Don Tober on August 28, 2005. Together for over 50 years their undying love for each other saw them thru thick & thin. Apart for only 18 days, the power of love brought them together once more, forever. She is also preceded in death by her grandson Brian.

A private memorial service will be held for Aloys and Donald Tober. Visitation and fellowship for family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2005 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Mr. & Mrs. Tober's home in Baraga.
