Alvin George Stahl
April 24, 1911 — July 27, 2009
Alvin George Stahl, age 98 of Coconut Creek, Florida passed away on Monday, July 27, 2009 at his home.
He was born April 24, 1911 in Prairie View, Illinois son of the late Charles and Mary (Volz) Stahl. Al lived in Libertyville, IL for 35 years. He was married to Bernadette Clement. Al worked for Anchor Coupling in Libertyville, IL for 24 1/5 years and for Bernard Chevrolet for about 5 years until retirement.
Al was always ready to lend a helping hand to friends and family alike and could do anything from carpentry to cement work, to roofing, to plumbing and anything in between. Al was an avid baseball fan, especially of the Florida Marlins. He loved going out to dinner and had a great sense of humor. Al still will be sorely missed by friends, family, and all who knew him.
Surviving are his daughter Mary Ann Stahl of Coconut Creek, FL; son James D. Stahl of Lake Havasu City, AZ; six grand children; 13 great grandchildren; and 8 great great grandchildren.
Preceded in death are his parents; wife Bernadette Stahl; and brothers Elmer and Roy Stahl.
There will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will be in the L'Anse Evergreen Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home on L'Anse, MI is assisting the family.
