Anna Marie Andersen, age 82, of L'Anse, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Bayside Village in L'Anse.
She was born on January 30, 1929 in Negaunee, MI daughter to Bernard and Florence Eagle. Anna grew up in Marquette. She was a bartender and cook at Pat's Bar and Flannigan's Bar in Marquette for several years. Anna married Kenneth Andersen on September 11, 1986 in Las Vegas. They moved to L'Anse in 1991.
Anna loved to garden and had a green thumb. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Zeba, Eastern Star, TOPS, 25 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Marquette, life member of the DAV Auxiliary in Chassell.
Surviving are her husband Kenneth Andersen of L'Anse; daughter Judith (Calvin) Laughinghouse of Columbia, SC; brother Bernard (Helen) Eagle of Hazelcrest, IL; 3 grandchildren, Lori Hill, Julie Starr, Michelle Smith; 7 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 5th at 12 noon at Jacobson Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Rhoades officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in the L'Anse Evergreen Cemetery. A luncheon and fellowship will follow at the Zeba Methodist Church. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
