Anna E. Peterson, age 84 of Pelkie passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2004 at her home.
She was born January 24, 1920 in Pelkie daughter of the late John and Anna (Moilanen) Seppanen. Anna married James Peterson on March 27, 1943. She was a waitress at many restaurants in the area. Anna was a good homemaker and took pride in her baking and gardening. She enjoyed being with her dog Fido. Anna was a member of First Apostolic Lutheran of L'Anse.
Surviving are her son Clyde (Mary) Peterson of Alston; daughter Janet (Robert) Tolonen of Alston, MI; three grandchildren, James, Lisa, and Robert; six great grandchildren, Jonathon, Greggory, Jason, Erika, Hannah, and Ashley; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her husband James; brothers, John, Waino, Arne, Richard, Ivar, Arvo, and Walter; and sister, Lydia.
The funeral service will be on Wednesday, August 4 at 11:00 am at Jacobson Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday and from 6-8:00 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home. The burial will be in the Pelkie Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home in L'Anse is assisting the family.
