Annabelle May Morrow

June 25, 1915 — February 17, 2007

Annabelle May Morrow, 91, of L'Anse, died peacefully, Saturday evening, February 17, 2007, in Baraga County Memorial Hospital's Skilled Nursing Unit.

She was born June 25, 1915, in Pequaming, MI, a daughter of the late Christian and Nora (Nelsen) Almli. Annabelle was raised in the area and was a 1933 L'Anse High School graduate.

On June 27, 1941 she married William "Doc" Morrow in L'Anse and he preceded her in death on October 24, 1993.

She was employed for many years as a dietician with the State of Michigan in Gaylord. Annabelle and her family returned to L'Anse in 1977 and had resided here until her passing.

She was a member of United Lutheran Church in L'Anse. Her leisure activities included cooking, baking, reading, playing the organ, spending time with family and discussing politics.

She is survived by a son, William "Sam" Morrow of L'Anse; daughter, Mary Grace Morrow of Palo Alto, California; brother, Paul "Tutta" Almli of L'Anse; sister, Norma Brown of L'Anse; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 2 brothers.

There will be no services at this time. A graveside service will be held in the L'Anse Evergreen Cemetery and announced at a later date.

The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
