Anne Marie Juntunen, age 95 of Baraga, MI passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the Mather Nursing Center in Ishpeming, MI were she has resided for the past month.

Anne was born June 30, 1918 at the family home in Hancock, MI; daughter to Charles and Nelmi (Sysimetsa) Tahtinen. She grew up and attended school in Pelkie, MI. At age 18 Anne married Onnie Pasanen in 1936; they had two children Ronald and Jeanette. He preceded her in death in 1975. In July 1976 she married Arthur Juntunen. They were married for 35 years; he passed away Nov. 13, 2011.

Anne worked as a cook at Baraga County Memorial Hospital for about 10 years. She enjoyed cooking and shopping.

Anne was a lifelong member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Baraga.

Surviving are her son Ronald Pasonen of Gilbert, AZ; son-in-law Paul Jestila of Blue Springs, MO; brother Rudy (Ellen Saarinen) Tahtinen of Pelkie, MI, sister Helen Wayrynen of Redford, MI; grandchildren, Ginger (Joseph) Fulkerson, Jeffrey (Kimberly) Jestila, Lori Jestila, Kristi Fansler, Ronald Pasonen Jr; six great grandchildren, Mathew Pasonen, Brianna Fulkerson, Robert (Bubba) Fansler, Jacob, Emma, and Johnathan (Johnny) Jestila; numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husbands, Onnie Pasonen and Arthur Juntunen; daughter Jeanette Helen Jestila; daughter-in-law Darlene Pasonen; brothers, Norman and Edwin Tahtinen; grandson Randy Pasonen; and grandson-in-law Robert Fansler.

Anne's funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 20th at 1:00 p.m. at the Jacobson Funeral Home. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Pastor Julie Belew will officiate. Burial will be in the Baraga Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
