View Photo TributeAune Johannah Aho, age 91, of Pelkie, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at her home with her family at her side.

She was born September 28, 1919 in Pelkie, MI daughter of Eli and Johannah Turpeinen. Aune graduated from Baraga High School in 1937. She married Edward Aho in 1941 and they resided in Baraga up until 1990 when they moved to Pelkie.

Aune was a member of Mission United Lutheran Church, Ottawa Sportsman Club, and the Red Hats. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren and was involved in her church.

Surviving are her son Dr. Dale (Evelyn Whitman) Aho of Marquette; daughters, Sandra (Michael) Faucher of Baraga, Sharon (Frank) Stipech of Chassell; nine grandchildren, Abraham, Hannah, Zachary, and Tovah Aho, Micah and Nick Stipech, Eric, Mark, and Sandy Danielson; and six great grandchildren, Jericho and Taylor Michels, Bradley Danielson, Basha Lena Aho, Adam and Eric Danielson.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Edward; and nine siblings.

Her funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 26th at 2:00 p.m. at Mission United Lutheran Church in Pelkie. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Rev. John Autio will officiate. Burial will be on Saturday, May 7th at 11:00 a.m. in the Baraga Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mission United Lutheran Church or Ottawa Sportsmen's Club.
