Bernard Guido Meroni, age 76 of Zeba, MI passed away on Friday, December 25, 2015 at Cypress Manor in Hancock, MI with his loving family by his side.
He was born October 13, 1939 in Jersey City, New Jersey son of Joseph and Anna (Valardi) Meroni. Bernard grew up in Union City, New Jersey. He was in the United States Army from 1958-59 and in the National Guard from 1971-1993.
He married Betty Lou Blaker on January 19, 1963 in Union City. They moved to Zeba in 1994 until moving to Arizona where they lived from 1999-2012 when they moved back to Zeba. Together they enjoyed gambling and going casino hopping.
He worked for Midland Glass as a forklift driver in Middletown NJ, then drove Yellow Cab for the town of Long Branch for 12 years, and as part of his retirement he worked security for Vigilant Security in AZ.
Surviving are his wife Betty of Zeba; children, Bernard Meroni Jr. of Long Branch, NJ, Denise Meroni Moschetto of Zeba, Bette L. Meroni (Michael) Nielsen of Peoria, AZ; grandchildren, Angela, Johnny, Rebecca, Tatum, Noah; numerous nieces and nephews in NJ, MI, OH, and WI.
Preceding him in death are his parents; son Gary T. Meroni; and brother Joseph Meroni.
Per his request there will be no visitation or funeral service. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
