Betty Ann Cowling

Betty Cowling, age 94, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2019. She was born January 2, 1925, in Detroit, MI to Walter and Emma Markle. In 1952, she married Wilfred Bartle Cowling in Pontiac, MI.

Betty loved the outdoors. She was most at home when she was gardening, fishing, or tromping through the woods in her beloved Upper Peninsula.

Surviving are her children, Larry (Patricia) Cowling of L’anse, MI and Jeanette Sullivan of Vandalia, OH; sister, Meryl Aimino, of Three Rivers, MI; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wilfred, her brother Walter Markle, and her son Donald.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 6:00 pm at Jacobson Funeral Home in L’Anse, Michigan. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 18, from 4:00 – 6:00pm at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Norway Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
