Brian Ernest Gasperich

Brian E.Gasperich, age 50 of Baraga died Sunday, November 18, 2007 at Marquette General Hospital.
Brian was born November 8, 1957 in Hancock, MI son to the late Ernest and Ramona (Johnson) Gasperich. He graduated from Hancock High School in 1975 where he enjoyed playing football and hockey. In 1977 he married the former Marguerite Duxbury in Hancock. Brian worked for Service Shop Cleaners until 1987 when he went to work for Ojibwa Casino as Assistant Cage Manager. He retired from there in 2002 due to health reasons.
Brian liked Packer football, computers and any electrical gadgets, John Deere Tractors, Ford Diesel trucks, motor cycle riding, and gambling in Las Vegas. He was a very intelligent and inquisitive person. He loved his cats Lizzie and Shania.
Surviving are his wife Marguerite Gasperich of Baraga; step mother Betty Gasperich of Ahmeek, MI; sisters Markay (Doug) Riippa of Grand Rapids, MI, Molly Gasperich of Colorado; special friend, Lynn (Randy) Haataja of L'Anse; nieces and nephews, Luke Simonson, Amanda Simonson, Emily Riippa; cousins, numerous friends and extended family members.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 24 at 11:00 AM at Jacobson Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Rev. Bob White will officiate. Fellowship and lunch will follow the service in The Gathering Room at the funeral home. Jacobson Funeral Home of L'Anse is assisting the family.
