Brian Lokers, age 54 of L'Anse passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 7, 1953 in Douglas, Michigan son of James and Doreen (Skinner) Lokers. Brian graduated from L'Anse High School. He married Brenda Miron on November 28, 1987 in Baraga. Brian worked at Bayside Village doing maintenance for the past 17 years. He liked working on computers, loved animals, and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife Brenda of L'Anse; father James of Holland, MI; sons Bruce Lokers of Raleigh N.C., Michael Miron of Independence, Missouri, David (Lisa) Brunk of Madison Heights, MI, Leon (Heather) Brunk of L'Anse, Nicholas Lokers of L'Anse, Steven Lokers of L'Anse; daughter Amy Lokers of South Haven, MI; brothers Brad (Kathy) Lokers of California, James (Darlene) Kauthen of California; grandsons Tyler, TC, Evan, Devon, and Damon; and granddaughter Kylie.
He is preceded in death by his mother Doreen; brother Bruce Lokers; and sister LeAnna Van Kley.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 6th at 1:00 pm at the Jacobson Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Rev. Scott Williams will officiate. The Jacobson Funeral Home of L'Anse is assisting the family.
