Carol Jean Chapman, age 67 of Fox Lake, IL passed away suddenly on Monday, October 13, 2014 at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Lake Barrington, IL.
She was born July 19, 1947 in Negaunee, MI to Gerald and Sylvia Beck. Carol graduated from Ontonagon Area High School in 1965. She married Vaughan Chapman from Trout Creek, MI in Los Angeles, CA in 1966. They relocated to Green Bay, WI in 1982 and then to Cary, IL in 1988. She is a retired accountant where she last worked in Barrington, IL.
Surviving are her mother Sylvia Beck, children, Sandy Chapman of Shawano,WI, Kathy Keturoskey of Fox Lake, IL, David Chapman of Fox Lake, IL, Steve (Cathy) Chapman of Fox Lake, IL, Debbi (Ray) Bishop of Mundelein, IL; grandchildren, Ryan (Alyssa) Chapman, Brendan Chapman-Jacobs, Kyle Keturoskey, Meghan Chapman, Cassidy Chapman, Tony Bishop, Derek Bishop; great grandchild Chase Chapman; sister, Shirley (Dean) Jackson, Alan (Kay) Beck; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Preceding her in death are her husband, Vaughan Chapman; father, Gerald Beck; and brother, Michael Beck.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sidnaw United Methodist Church in Sidnaw, MI. Deacon Dean Jackson officiateed. Burial is in the Sidnaw Cemetery. A luncheon and fellowship followed in the church hall. The Jacobson Funeral Home of L’Anse, MI is in charge of arrangements.
