Carol Ann Thoren, age 81 of L'Anse, MI passed away on Friday, October 05, 2012 at her home.
Carol was born September 27, 1931 in Hancock, MI, to Carl and Eleanor (Noonen) Jacobsen. She graduated from L'Anse High School in 1950; then had married Joseph Sikorsky. She owned and operated The Specialty Store, downtown L'Anse for 7 years. Carol later married Rollin "Sonny" Thoren. Her life was her children and her passion was her dogs.
Surviving are her husband Sonny Thoren of L'Anse; sons, David (Mary) Sikorsky of Savannah, Georgia, Mark Sikorsky of L'Anse; daughters, Jill (Tom) Dickman of Sparks, Nevada, Coryn (Jim) Mathews of Wallace, MI; two grandchildren, Peter and Katherine Sikorsky; and her two loving dogs, Gabby and Lacey.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Eleanor Jacobsen.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 15th at 2:00 p.m. at the Jacobson Funeral Home. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Her son-in-law Rev. Jim Mathews will officiate. Fellowship will follow in the Sharing Room at the Jacobson Funeral Home. Burial will be in the L'Anse Evergreen Cemetery.
