Cecelia Marion Cook, 86, of Baraga, died Thursday evening, October 5, 2006, at Bayside Village in L'Anse.
She was born May 12, 1920, in Escanaba, Michigan, a daughter of John H. and Florence (Badger) Roberts.
Cecelia was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Baraga. Her leisure activities included bingo and participating in TOPS.
She is survived by 3 sons, John (Lillian) Messer of Baraga, Donald (Linda) Messer of Baraga and James Cook of L'Anse; 3 daughters, Lorraine Trisch of Troy, MI, Lucille (Harry) Renweck of Cheyenne, WY and Mary Cook of North Carolina; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Margaret Dorsky of L'Anse and Florence Deschaine of L'Anse; and numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Ike Messer and Kenneth Cook; brothers, John & Raymond Roberts; and a sister, Evelyn Asher.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 9, 2006 at 12 Noon in St. Ann's Catholic Church in Baraga with Rev. George Maki officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the mass in the church. Interment will be in Baraga Cemetery.
