Charles Thomas Boomer

Charles Thomas Boomer, age 50 a lifelong resident of Herman, MI passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at his sister's home in Herman after a courageous battle with Leukemia.
He was born April 5, 1961 in L'Anse, MI son of Donald and Fay (Dantes) Boomer. Charles loved nature and enjoyed hiking, camping, and also loved books.
Surviving are his parents Donald and Fay Boomer of L'Anse; sisters, Debbie (Jeff) Summers of Herman, Lenora Veker of Hancock, nieces & nephews, Derek (Denise) Makela of Herman, Jay Makela of L'Anse, Jessica Makela of Herman, Joseph Boomer of Hancock, Ashley Boomer of Hancock; 4 great nieces and nephews, Michael, Stella, Alex, and Angelina.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 23rd at 2:00 p.m. at the L'Anse Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Bishop officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church. The burial will take place in the spring in the Herman Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
