Charlotte Genevieve LaRose, age 81 of Keweenaw Bay, MI passed away on Sunday, October 09, 2011 at Marquette General Hospital.
She was born September 19, 1930 in Pontiac, MI daughter of Jacob and Genevieve (Merchant) Quick. Charlotte graduated from Auburn Heights High School in 1949. She married Raymond LaRose in Rochester Hills, MI in 1949. For a short while she worked as a cosmetologist. In 1976 they moved to Keweenaw Bay.
Charlotte was a former member of the MSU Keweenaw Bay Extension Study Group. She enjoyed cake decorating, crafts, and quilting.
Surviving are her children, Todd "Mike" LaRose of Keweenaw Bay, Tim (Julianna) LaRose of Rochester Hills, MI, Cheryl LaRose of Keweenaw Bay; sister Janet (Charles) Moore of Rochester Hills; seven grandchildren, Jacob, Rachael (Dave Karvonen), Christopher (Andrea Gardner), and Kaylee LaRose, Angela and Dominique (Colin Billings) Price, Dione (Greg) Gillett; and a great grandchild Michael.
Preceding her in death are her parents, and her husband Raymond "Todd".
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 12th at 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobson Funeral Home in L'Anse. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Fr. John Longbucco will officiate. Burial will be in the Baraga Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the Keweenaw Bay Fire Hall. The Jacobson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
