Charlotte Ester Perreault, age 87 of Houghton, MI passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at the Omega House in Houghton.
She was born June 1, 1926 in Kingsley, MI to Leonard and Goldie (Spidel) Weathers. Charlotte graduated from Kingsley High School. In 1947 she married Ned Hickey; he passed away in 1972. Charlotte lived in the Detroit area and worked for Ford Motor Company as a secretary. In 1968 she moved to Aura. She married Lawrence "Butch" Perreault; he preceded her in death. They owned and operated Butch's Harbor Inn in L'Anse.
Charlotte was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, and the Aura Fire Hall Auxiliary.
Surviving are her sons, Patrick (Cathy) Spidell of Traverse City and Edward "Mike" (Sherry) Hickey of Mohawk; sister Patricia Weathers of Traverse City; seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husbands Ned and Butch.
Visitation will be on Saturday, December 7th from 12-1:00 p.m. at the Jacobson Funeral Home; and her funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Judy Mattson will officiate. Fellowship and a luncheon will follow in the Sharing Room at the Jacobson Funeral Home. Burial will be in the spring in the L'Anse Evergreen Cemetery.
