Cheryl “Sissy” Morin, passed peacefully with her sister Marianne Wickstrom at her side on Saturday, June 13, 2020 in Milwaukee, WI.
She was born on April 4,1964 in L’Anse, MI daughter to Hubert and Darlene (Norback) Morin. Sissy was a 1982 graduate of L’Anse Area Schools. She attended Northern Michigan University for Cosmetology. She worked for the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community as a Dental Receptionist, Dental Assistant, Medical Secretary and then into Medical Records.
Sissy was a member of the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community and the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, bowling, slot machines, Bingo, playing cards and being with family and friends. Her sense of humor was like no other. She loved to laugh and loved to make others laugh.
She is survived by her brother, Roger (Scott) Morin of L'Anse, sister Marianne (Richard) Wickstrom of L’Anse, nephews Shaun Bryan of Nisula, Shane Bryan of Iron River, and Shad Bryan of Manistee. Her niece Jessica Wickstrom and nephew Kolt Wickstrom of L’Anse, great niece Taylianna Bryan of Baraga, great nephews Damian and Dante Bryan of Iron River, and special cousin Joey Beauprey of L’Anse.
She is preceeded in death by her parents Hubert and Darlene Morin (Norback), sisters Barbara (Punkin) Bryan, Tarianne Marie and nephew Jacob Wickstrom, niece Katie Wickstrom and special Aunt Evelyn Beauprey.
Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 18th at 12:00 p.m. at Jacobson Funeral Home with Fr. Corey Litzner officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the L'Anse Evergreen Cemetery.
