Christopher Allen Edwards

Christopher A. Edwards, age 21 of L'Anse passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2003 as a result of an automobile accident in Baraga.

He was born January 3, 1982 in L'Anse son of James and Kathryn (Clisch) Edwards. Christopher graduated from L'Anse High School in 2000. He was in the U S Air Force, then returned to L'Anse and was employed at the Ojibwa Casino. Christopher enjoyed sports and was in the golf league, softball league, volleyball league, pool league, bowling league, and the basketball league. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Christopher loved his family and his friends and enjoyed being with them.

Christopher is survived by his parents James and Kathryn of L'Anse; brother Philip Edwards of L'Anse; paternal grandparents Richard and Barbara Edwards of L'Anse; maternal grandparents Jean and Bill Clisch of Alston; aunts and uncles, Ann and John McMullin of L'Anse, Tom and Debbie Clisch of Alston, Becky and Tom Dishneau of Bergland, MI, Mary and Lester Arceneax of Dallas, TX, Pauline Edwards of Milwaukee, Ann and Doug George of Oxford, MI; many cousins and second cousins; and a great great-aunt Grace Olsen of L'Anse.

The Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Dec. 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Visitations will be held on Friday, Dec. 19 from 4-8:00 p.m. at the Jacobson Funeral home, with parish prayers at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday from 10-11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Fr. Greg Heikkala will officiate. The Jacobson Funeral Home in L'Anse is assisting the family.
