Clyde James Peterson

Clyde J Peterson of Alston passed away on Saturday April 27, 2024 at BCMH.

Clyde was born on October 8, 1945 to Anna (Seppanen) and Jim Peterson. He attended Baraga Area School and graduated in 1964. On December 5, 1964 he married Mary (Turpeinen) Peterson. They were married for 54 years and did everything together. Clyde worked numerous jobs over the year as he retired out of the MDOC. Clyde loved going out in to the garage tinkering on something or jumping on the tractor to go for a ride.

Clyde is survived by his son Jim (Erin) Peterson of Pelkie; grandchildren Jason, Erika and Hannah; great-grandkids, Kane and Kason; numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife Mary, sister Janet Tolonen, and his parents.

Visitation will be on Saturday, May 4th from 10-11:00 a.m. at Jacobson Funeral Home. His funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ed Hulkonen Officiating. Burial will be in the Alston Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the Alston Town Hall.
