Dagmer L. Perander
November 26, 1913 — February 21, 2005
Dagmer L. Perander, 91, formerly of Pelkie, died Monday morning, February 21, 2005 at the Willow Knoll Retirement Community in Middletown, Ohio. She had been a resident of Middletown since 1996.
She was born November 26, 1913, in Elo, Michigan, a daughter of the late Jacob and Hilma (Syryala) Saari. She married Edwin J. Perander in 1947 in Detroit and he preceded her in death on July 19, 1999.
Dagmer was an active member of Grace Free Lutheran Church and the Pelkie Historical Society. She enjoyed sewing, music and cats.
She is survived by a son, Donald (Jan) Perander of Middletown, OH; daughter, Cynthia Perander of Kettering, OH; grandson, Ken Perander of Centerville, OH; and a brother, Ernest (Ann) Saari of Pelkie. A sister, Esther Pippo preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2005 at 10 a.m. in the Jacobson Funeral Home with Pastor Judy Mattson officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Pelkie Cemetery in the spring.
