Daniel "Red" Paquette, age 69 of Keweenaw Bay, MI died Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital.
He was born on November 10, 1943 in L'Anse, MI to Theodore and Bernadine (Cadeau) Paquette. In 1966 he married the former Lynn Maki of Trout Creek. Along with his duties of being a fantastic father he worked as a welder, operator of heavy equipment and a mechanic. He was a member of Operating Engineers Local 324. Daniel had a love for cars, snowmobiling and 4-wheeling.
Surviving are his wife, Lynn of 47 years; daughter, Lori (Dan) Truniger of Bloomington, MN; brothers Paul (Barbara) of Champion, Gerald of Keweenaw Bay, Russ (Brenda) of Vernal, UT, Raymond (Mary) Bennink of White Pine; sisters, Gwendolyn Greenley and Jean Blasier of West Bend, WI; two kids that meant the world to him, Amanda (Bob) Witz of Skanee, Mike Markham, Jr. of Arnheim; lifelong friend Doug Tervo of Keweenaw Bay; as well as aunts, numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and two brothers Theodore and Edmond.
A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, August 25th starting at 1:00 p.m. at the Keweenaw Bay Fire Hall. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
