David Michael Lee, age 58 of L'Anse passed away on Monday, April 25, 2011 at his home.
He was born on November 10, 1952 in L'Anse, Michigan son of Edward and Dorothy (Theriault) Lee. David attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and L'Anse Schools. He was a mechanic and worked for Ford garage. At age 17 he had a swimming accident and became disabled. David loved to be in the woods and deer hunting. He was caring, giving, and a very social person.
Surviving are his father, Edward Lee of L'Anse; brothers, Terry (Phyllis) Lee of L'Anse, Eric LaFernier of Chicago; sisters, Linda (Raymond) VanZoeren of Hart, MI, Bonnie (Terry) Westman of L'Anse; aunt Rosemary Woodward of L'Anse; uncle James (Violet) Theriault of L'Anse; several nieces and nephews; special caregiver, Sue Supanich.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 29th at 11:00 a.m. at Jacobson Funeral Home. Fr. John Longbucco will officiate. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the L'Anse Evergreen Cemetery. A luncheon and fellowship will follow in the Sharing Room at the funeral home. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
