Dean C. Bonney, age 55 of Alston, MI passed away on Monday, January 28, 2008 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 20, 1952 in Pontiac, Michigan son of Donn and Lillian Ellen (Hiltunen) Bonney. Dean graduated from Waterford Kettering High School in 1970. He worked for GMC Truck & Bus for 30 years. Upon retiring in 2003 he moved to Alston. Dean was a member of the Ottawa Sportsman Club. He loved hunting, fishing, and gardening.
Surviving are his father Donn Bonney of Pelkie; life partner Debbie (Sleep) Wanhainen of Alston; brothers Donn (Emy) Bonney of Sebu City, Philippines, Bruce Bonney of Waterford, MI; and Adrianne L. LeMieux of Tempe, Arizona whom Dean raised like a daughter. He is preceded in death by his mother Lillian Ellen Bonney in 2001.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 30th from 11 am to 1:00 pm at the Jacobson Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Rev. John Autio will officiate. Burial will be in the Nisula Cemetery in the spring. The Jacobson Funeral Home of L'Anse is assisting the family.
