Dennis Jarvey

Dennis Jarvey, age 63 formerly of L'Anse, MI passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at his home in Detroit, MI.
He was born on December 11, 1946 in Detroit, MI son of Howard and Dorothy (Taipalus) Jarvey. Dennis graduated from L'Anse High School. He was in US Army a decorated Vietnam Veteran serving from 1967 to 1973. He received a Purple Heart, 2 army commendation medals, and an air medal.
He was an incredible mechanical minded person and could repair anything. He loved to sing and play guitar and entertained. For a while he played in a local band.
Survived by his daughter Cindy (Greg) Seavoy of L'Anse and her children, Dylan and Dustin Seavoy; sisters, Della (Vic) Petaja of Calumet, MI, Judy (Francis) Racette of Escanaba; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Dennis is preceded by his parents, his son Richard Jarvey, and brother William Jarvey.
Burial will be on Friday, May 6th at 11:00 a.m. in the L'Anse Evergreen Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home of L'Anse is assisting the family.
