Dolores Lorraine Forcia, age 83 of L’Anse, MI passed away on Monday, July 14, 2014 at her home.
She was born October 25, 1930 in Ishpeming, MI daughter of Arvo and Ida (Walitalo) Jokinen. Dolores attended school in Herman and L’Anse, MI. She married Clarence Forcia on March 25, 1950 in L’Anse. Dolores was a home maker and she raised her family along with her brother’s children. She enjoyed going to the casino, reading, genealogy, and collecting antiques, dishes, and dolls.
Dolores was a member of the Watton Apostolic Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband Clarence Forcia of L’Anse; children, Leslie Forcia of L’Anse, Lynn (Andrew Joshi) Forcia of Virginia, Lance (Sandra) Forcia of L’Anse, Larry Forcia of L’Anse, Leif (Lauren) Forcia of L’Anse; grandchildren, Jason Forcia, Jesse Forcia, Jeremy (Miranda) Forcia, Jaren (Jade) Forcia, Lance (Alexandria) Forcia Jr., Heidi Forcia, Holly Aho-Forcia, Calli Forcia, Leif Forcia Jr., Chaz Forcia, Shanna Forcia, Monica Joshi; and 12 great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are two babies Lee Alaine and Loran Jesse Forcia; daughter Lorene Butterfield; brother Gary Jokinen; and a great grandson.
Visitation was on Wednesday, July 16th from 4-7:00 p.m. at the Jacobson Funeral Home and Thursday, July 17th from 10-11:00 a.m. at the Watton Apostolic Lutheran Church in Watton, MI. Her funeral service was on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Watton Apostolic Lutheran Church. A luncheon followed the service at the church. Burial was in the Herman Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
