Dolores A. Thompson

Dolores A. Thompson, age 68 of L'Anse passed away on Friday, August 29, 2003 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital, with her family by her side, following a lengthy illness.
She was born December 14, 1934 in Detroit, MI daughter of the late Emil and Elma (Niemela) Somero. Dolores grew up in the Detroit area and moved here in 1974. She was a member of the United Lutheran Church and enjoyed knitting, reading, walking, and fishing.
She is survived by sons, Willis (Nit) Olli of Tucson, AZ, Donald (Sunshine) Olli of Marquette; daughters, Catherine (John) Hodapp of Ferndale, MI, Susan (Robert) Brenderger of MI, Linda Bracheen of L'Anse; brothers, Robert Somero of LaBelle, FL, Kenneth (Joyce) Somero of Rochester Hills, MI; sisters, Mabel Gerwill of Croswell, MI, Jean Spencer of LaBelle, FL; ten grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 2, at 11:00 a.m. at the United Lutheran Church in L'Anse. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Covington Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home in L'Anse is assisting the family.
