Donald Alfred Anderson, age 84 of Wixom, MI, formerly of Baraga, MI passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 in Novi, MI.
He was born October 21, 1931 in Baraga, MI son of Carl and Selma (Krolik) Anderson. Don attended Baraga Schools. He moved to Southfield, MI and worked for Great Lakes Steal prior to starting Detroit Gunite, a pool building company, which he ran for over 45 years.
Don loved hunting, gardening, fishing and spending time with his family. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Nancy (Heikkinen) of 61 years; sons, Gregory of Wald Lake, MI, Brad of Novi, MI, Robert of Wixom, MI; brothers, Lawrence (Patsy) of West Bloomfield, MI, Bernard of Wixom, MI; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents and 7 siblings.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 10th at 11:00 a.m. at the Baraga Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
