Donald C. Pickard
March 3, 1922 — July 21, 2004
Donald C. Pickard, age 82 of Skanee passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at the Mather Nursing Center in Ishpeming.
He was born March 3, 1922 in Berkley, Michigan son of the late Benjamin and Margaret (Reid) Pickard. Donald grew up in the lower peninsula of Michigan and lived in Zeba for a few years prior to moving to Skanee. He married the former Margaret Engle on March 10, 1969 in L'Anse. Donald enjoyed fishing, and loved cats.
He is survived by a son Donald Jr., sister Barbara (Humboldt) Murrell of Hartford, IN, caregiver Jodine Lindemann of L'Anse, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his brothers Charles and Dudley Pickard, and sister Virginia Fredrickson.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 30 at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Church. Fr. Antony will officiate. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made toward his funeral fund. The Jacobson Funeral Home in L'Anse is assisting the family.
