Dorothy Hanson

Dorothy Been Hanson, age 86, of Skanee, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2001, at her home.
Dorothy was born in Laurim, MI on December 6, 1914, a daughter of the late Olof and Ina (McClintock) Been. She married Marvin C. Hanson in 1936 in L'Anse. He preceded her in death on April 10, 1997.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law Jean Hanson of Woodruff, WI, sister Catherine Hansen of Skanee, sister-in-law Mildred Been of El Cerrito, CA, two grandsons Eric and Peter, a niece Bonnie Allen and nephew David Been, both of CA.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her son William Hanson, a brother Richard Been.
There will be no visitation or funeral services. In memory of Dorothy memorials may be made to the Huron Island Lighthouse Preservation Association, P.O. Box 381, L'Anse, MI, 49946. The Sirard Funeral Home of Baraga is assisting the family.
