L'Anse

Mrs. Dorothy M. St.George, 71, of L'Anse, passed away on Thursday morning, April 19, 2001 at her home. She was born on April 9, 1930 in L'Anse a daughter to the late Isaac and Mary (Dorsky) Springsteen. Dorothy will be remembered for being a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved her dog and cats and enjoyed playing bingo. Mrs St.Geroge was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in L'Anse, the L'Anse Senior Center.

Preceding her in death were her parents, 3 brothers, Donald, Harold and Bobby, 2 sisters, Jean and Alice.

Surviving are her husband, William M. St.Geroge of L'Anse; 2 sons: William J. & Fred T. Of L'Anse; 4 daughters: Cheryl (Robert) Massie, Debbie (Jim) Bennett, Brenda St.George all of Baraga; Michelle St.George of L'Anse; 2 brothers: Lloyd (Rose) Springsteen of Hale; Roger (Karen) Springsteen of White Pine; 10 Grandchildren: Krissy, Denise, B.J., Mike, Philip, James, Danielle, Jesse, Tawny and Austin; 2 great grandchildren: Kayla and Derek; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, April 21, 2001 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in L'Anse with Fr. Greg Heikkala to officiate.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 20, 2001 from 7 to 9 p.m., at Jacobson Funeral Home in L'Anse, where liturgical prayers will be recited at 8:30 p.m. Visitation will also be held 1 hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.

Burial will be in the L'Anse Evergreen Cemetery.

Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.

The Jacobson Funeral Home in L'Anse assisted the family.
