Edith Impi Roosa Dreelan

Edith Impi Roosa Dreelan, age 83 of Pelkie, MI passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at her home with her daughter Elizabeth and nephew Gregory Lusk and his wife Sandra by her side.
Edith was born May 7, 1926 in Pelkie, MI daughter to Eli and Johanna (Rompainen) Turpeinen. She graduated from Baraga High School in 1944 and then attended Suomi College. Edith lived in the Chicago area and married Thomas Dreelan in 1951; then moved to the Detroit area in 1956; where she worked for Kelly Services until 1990 when she retired. In 1993 she moved back to the family farm in Pelkie.
She was a member of Mission United Lutheran Church in Pelkie. Edith loved gardening, reading, and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Surviving are her daughter Elizabeth Hakola of Pelkie, a sister Aune Aho of Pelkie, and nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents; son-in-law Robert Hakola; brothers, Jack, Eli, and Eino Turpeinen; sisters, Aili Seppanen, Hilma Robbins, Hilia Kapp, Helmi Franzen, and Anne Lusk.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 5th at 11:00 am at Mission United Lutheran Church in Pelkie. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Rev. John Autio will officiate. Burial will be in the Pelkie Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home of L'Anse is assisting the family.
