Edward Corbet Koponen

Edward Corbet Koponen, age 39 of Longview, Texas formely of L'Anse Mi. passed away on Tuesday September 30, 2008 in Longview, Texas as a result of an accident.
He was born March 2, 1969 in Jacksonville, North Carolina son of Ronald A. and the late Sandra (Arbin) Koponen. He graduated from L'Anse High School in 1987 Salutatorian and went on to Aquinas College in Grand Rapids Mi. where he graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration in 1992.
Edwards favorite hobby was to travel. He worked as supervisor for Old Navy and Sam Goody Records in Longview, Texas. Edward was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in L'Anse.
Surviving are his father Ronald A. Koponen of L'Anse; brothers Marcus (Shawn) Koponen of Wakefield, Mi.; his sister Amanda (Charles) Elam of Westland Mi. and his very special friend Alyna Tollefson on L'Anse.
At the Family's request there will be no services at this time. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
