Eileen Theresa (Cadeau) Kemppainen

Eileen T. (Cadeau) Kemppainen, age 86 of Alston, MI passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016 at her home with her family by her side.

She was born April 9, 1930 in Baraga, MI daughter of Edward and Irene (Vizina) Cadeau. In 1948 Eileen graduated from Baraga High School. She married Wesley Kemppainen on November 19, 1949 in Baraga.

Eileen was a member of St Ann’s Catholic Church in Baraga. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Surviving are her husband Wesley Kemppainen of Alston; children, Jean (Ron) Niemisto of Pelkie, MI, Alan (Lois) Kemppainen of Alston, MI, Lynn (Mike) Maki of Bloomington, MN, Julie (Dennis) Velmer of Alston, Robert (Charlene) Kemppainen of Alston, Pat (Terry) Spencer of Alston, Jackie (Rick) Devine of Elko, MN; grandchildren, Carolyn J Paavo, Aaron R. Niemisto, Teri (Jason) McKean, Jennifer (Joel) Shaw, Eric (Amy) Kemppainen, Gary Kemppainen, Michael (Karra) Maki, Aimee (Joe) Roberts, Becki Alexander, Brenda (Mike) Boehm, Stacy (Dan) Rosseau, LeAnna (Tyler) Miller, Melissa Velmer (Buddy Davis),Kyle (Jennifer) Kemppainen, Jessica (Alex) Elsenheimer, Ryan (Andrea) Spencer, Jordan Spencer (Jourdan Whitman) Jared (Courtney) Spencer, Whitney Devine (Nick Peters), Nicole Devine (Sam Scheffler), Emily Devine, Robert Devine; great grandchildren, Hilary Paavo, Kaitlyn Shepard, Ellie McKean, Rhianna McKean, Hazel McKean, Wren McKean, Grace Shaw, Jacob Shaw, Nathan Shaw, McKayla Kemppainen, Connor Kemppainen, Grant Kemppainen, Leah Maki, Kyla Maki, Preston Roberts, Paige Roberts, Piper Roberts, Wesley Alexander, Samual Boehm, Elizabeth Boehm, Hayden Rosseau, Annalise Rosseau, Weston Kemppainen, Wesley Spencer, Raegan Spencer; sister Ozien George of Dousman, WI; sister-in-law Elsie Cadeau of Baraga, MI; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding her in death by an infant daughter Lisa; parents Ed and Irene Cadeau; sister Rose Cadeau; brothers, Ed, Frank, and Gabe Cadeau.

Private family services will be held. Burial will be in the Pelkie Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Jacobson Funeral Home.
