Elenora Dahlberg

Elenora "Ellie" M. Dahlberg, age 93 of Skanee, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2002 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital skilled nursing unit.
She was born November 19, 1908 in L'Anse, daughter to the late George and Eva (Swenson) Edwardsen. Ellie graduated from L'Anse High School in 1928. She owned the Arvon Club from 1937 until 1942. Ellie went to work in north Chicago and lived in Libertyville, IL until 1944, when she moved to Skanee. She was married to ClarenceT. Dahlberg in 1939.
Ellie was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Skanee and WELCA. She loved gardening both flower and vegetable, cooking, and entertaining friends.
She is survived by one sister Elizabeth Marcotte of Shulstad Leisure Living in Baraga, and several nieces and nephews.
Ellie is preceded in death by her husband Clarence, a brother Morgan Eugene Edwardsen, and a sister Eva Marie Edwardsen.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 7 at 2:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Skanee. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Pastor Judy Mattson will officiate. Burial will be in the Skanee Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home of L'Anse is assisting the family.
