Ellen E. Holso

Ellen E. Holso, age 71, a summer resident of Point Abbaye, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2001, in Novi, MI.
She was born June 18, 1930 in Hancock, MI daughter to the late Toivo and Mary (Latola) Rantala. She was raised in Detroit and graduated from High School there. Mrs. Holso married Stanley Holso on May 9, 1953 in Detroit. She retired from the Oak Park Schools as a cook in 1991. Mrs. Holso was a member of the Finnish Center Assoc. And St. John Lutheran Church in Redford, MI.
Mrs. Holso is survived by a sister, Ruth (Paul) Peterson of Chassell; a sister-in-law Aurelia Bergstrom of Novi; nieces and nephews, Laura Peterson, Philip Peterson, Gordon Bergstrom, and Michael Bergstrom.
She is preceded in death by her husband Stanley.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 8, at 1:00 p.m. at the Jacobson Funeral Home. Visitation will be for two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Rev. Margaret Grant will officiate. Burial will be in the Aura Cemetery. A gathering for fellowship and a luncheon will follow the service in the Sharing Room at Jacobson Funeral Home. The family is being served by the Jacobson Funeral Home in L'Anse.
