Elsie M. Kruse

Elsie M. Kruse, age 69 of L'Anse passed away on Tuesday, May 28 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital's skilled nursing unit where she has been a resident for the past two years.
She was born on May 25, 1933 in L'Anse daughter of the late Frank and Theresa (Ill) Kruse. Elsie graduated from L'Anse High School in 1952. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Church and a former member of the church groups. Elsie cooked for the Nuns and volunteered at Sacred Heart Church and School most of her life. She loved to play BINGO and enjoyed knitting and baby sitting.
She is survived by two brothers, Frank (Signe) Kruse of L'Anse and William Kruse of Spencer, TN; one sister Hazel Schultz of L'Anse; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.
Elsie is preceded in death by her brothers Robert and Charles Kruse, and sisters Marie Kruse and Alice Raymond.
The funeral Mass will be on Saturday, June 1, at 11:00 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church. Fr. Greg Heikkala will officiate. Burial will be in the L'Anse Evergreen Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home of L'Anse is in charge of arrangements.
