Emma Marie Kagabitang

Emma Marie Kagabitang, age 72 of Zeba, MI passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at her home with her family by her side.
Emma was born September 19, 1936 in Petoskey, MI daughter to the late Samuel and Sarah (Chingwa) Mitchell. She lived in L'Anse area for the past 25 years; coming from Petoskey, MI where she worked for various hotels. Upon moving here she worked at Ojibwa Casino and Irene's Pizza.
Emma enjoyed reading, watching TV, and having her grandkids over.
Surviving are four sons, James (Jeanne) Kagabitang of Charlevoix, MI , David (Amy) Kagabitang of Wisconsin, "Henry" William (Michelle) Bowman of L'Anse, Ben Otto of Jackson, MI; three daughters, Sara Kagabitang of L'Anse, Debbie (Tim) Juralbal of Charlevoix, MI, Kathryn (Eugene) Loonsfoot of Baraga; brother Joseph (Karen) Mitchell of Alanson, MI; seven grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents and three brothers, Wallace, John and Samuel Mitchell.
There will be no visitation or funeral service at this time. The Jacobson Funeral Home in L'Anse is assisting the family.
