Francis “Bumps” Freemont Krolik Jr., age 37 of L’Anse, MI passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 in Baraga, MI.
He was born April 7, 1977 in L’Anse, MI son of Francis and Elizabeth (Miller) Krolik. Bumps graduated from L’Anse High School in 1996. He worked for his father at Frenchy’s Auto Parts and in 2008 he took over the business and changed the name to Bumps Auto Tech.
Bumps enjoyed camping, brook trout fishing, making maple syrup, riding his Harley, and spending time with his son.
Surviving are his father Francis “Frenchy” Krolik Sr. of L’Anse; mother Elizabeth “Lizz” Krolik of Portage, MI; son Jeremiah Dean Krolik of Chassell, MI; an expected baby boy; siblings, Christine (Dan) Butcher of Vicksburg, MI, Cathryn “Kate” (Craig) Beer of Aura, MI; Caren (Bill) Beatty of Lexington, KY; and nieces and nephews, Charlie & Emily Beer, Sarah and Noah Butcher.
Visitation was on Monday, March 30th from 4-7:00 PM at Jacobson Funeral Home. His funeral service wwasill be held at 7:00 PM at the funeral home with Deacon John Cadeau officiating. Burial will be in the L’Anse Evergreen Cemetery in the spring. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
