Frederick Lee Bell

Frederick L. Bell, age 61 of Baraga passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2002 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital.
He was born September 8, 1940 in Desloge, Missouri, only son of Thelma F. Bell and C. Darrell Bell. Fred was a graduate from University of Hawaii and obtained his Masters Degree in Economics at the University of California in Berkeley. He worked as a governmental economic consultant and an economist for Travelers Insurance Company. Fred lived in Baraga since 1997 and was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Baraga where he was confirmed on March 30, 2002. His confirmation name was Maximilian.
Fred is survived by his mother, Thelma of Cumming, GA, one sister Connie (Mrs. Jim) Heefner of Roswell, GA, six children, Aaron and Alicia Bell, Cole Balckford, Jessica, Jennifer and Joanna Bell, two nephews, and a close friend Tina Hackeman of Baraga.
He is preceded in death by his father Darrell Bell.
A memorial mass will be held at a later date at St. Ann's Catholic Church. The Jacobson Funeral Home of L'Anse is assisting the family.
