Gerald John Connors
September 22, 1931 — November 28, 2007
Gerald John Connors, age 76 of Zeba passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at the Baraga County Memorial Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit.
Gerald was born on September 22, 1931 in Odanah, Wisconsin son of the late Joseph and Julia (Barbano) Connors. He lived in Milwaukee for 50 years working for the Rose Company as a welder and then for the Alexian Village retirement community. Gerald married the former Mary Emery in 1970 in Zion, IL. In 1996 he retired and moved to Zeba.
He was a member of the Most Holy Name of Jesus Church in Assinins, KBIC, and the Ojibwa Seniors. Gerald loved his dogs. The family would also like to thank the nurses and staff at the long term care unit at the hospital.
Surviving are his son, Patrick Connors of Chassell; brothers Joseph, James, and Michael Connors; sisters Barbara Connors, and Lorraine (Ken) Berger all of Milwaukee; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death is his wife Mary in 2001; brothers Bernard and Glenn Connors; sisters Helen Connors and Margaret Harbour.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 2nd, at 3:30 pm at the Jacobson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1 pm until the time of service. Fr. George Maki will officiate. Burial will be in the Indian Pinery Cemetery in the spring. The Jacobson Funeral Home of L'Anse is assisting the family.
