Helen Grace Griffin, age 85 of L'Anse, MI passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital skilled nursing unit.

Helen was born April 2, 1923 in Marquette, MI daughter of the late Alfred and Irene (Saunders) Allen. She graduated from Kenton High School in 1941. Helen married Roger Griffin on February 22, 1948 in Ohio. They resided in Redford Twp. until moving to L'Anse about 15 years ago. She loved bird watching, hiking, camping with her family, fishing, and playing Bingo. Helen was a member of Rebecca's and The Odd Fellows in Gladwin, MI.

She is survived by her husband Roger of L'Anse; 4 sons, Michael (Trudy) Griffin of Port St. Lucie, FL, Bruce (Catherine) Griffin of Port St. Lucie, FL, Bill Griffin of L'Anse, Tim (Carole) Griffin of Brighton, MI; 2 daughters, Laura (John) Dault of L'Anse, Tamara (Steve) Still of Howell, MI; brother Everett (Marlene) Allen of Kenton; 13 grandchildren, Ann, Todd, Kathy, Lynn, Chris, Jeremy, Nicholas, Amanda, Kimberly, Jeff, Brett, Scott, Christina; 10 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a good friend Marilyn Mailley of Gladwin, MI

She is preceded in death by her brothers Robert and Chester Allen.

There will be a memorial service on Thursday, May 8th at 2:00 pm at the Jacobson Funeral Home in L'Anse. Pastor Judy Mattson will officiate. Burial will be in the Sidnaw Cemetery.
