Helen M. Tangen

Helen M. Tangen, age 81 of Baraga, died Saturday, June 16, 2007, at her home.
She was born February 12, 1926 in Baraga, daughter of the late Nicholas C. and Marie (Ricken) Lindemann. Helen graduated from Baraga High School in 1944. She married Bernard Tangen on November 23, 1946 in Assinins.
Helen was co-founder of Tangen Incorporated of Baraga and served as the bookkeeper for 22 years. She was a member of St. Ann's Parish.
Surviving are her sons Sherman Tangen of Baraga and Bradley of Chippewa Falls, WI, brother Nicholas (JoDean) Lindemann of Baraga; sisters, Ruth (Ernest) Gryka of Royal Oak, MI and Elsie Byrne of Baraga; sister-in-law Helen Lindemann of Detroit and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding her in death is her husband Bernard on February 4, 1997, brother, Joseph Lindemann.
A private committal service will be held on Monday, June 18th at the Assinins Cemetery. Fr. George Maki will officiate. The Jacobson Funeral Home of L'Anse is assisting the family.
