Helen Amelia Tollefson-Duncan

Helen Amelia Tollefson-Duncan, 93, of Minneapolis, MN, died peacefully of old age, September 20, 2005, at the St. Anthony Health Care Center in St. Anthony, MN.
Born April 18, 1912, in Nestoria, MI, Helen led an active and productive life with enthusiasm and a great sense of humor. She raised her two children, Robert C. (Suezanne) Duncan and Julia (David) Duncan-Spano in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Helen earned an L.P.N. degree and worked at the Veteran's Hospital in Minneapolis until retirement.
Besides her two children, Helen leaves 6 grandchildren, Shannon, Stephanie, Matthew, Reid, Ryan and Nicole; 7 great-grandchildren; as well as dear nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Norwegian immigrant parents, Hans and Julia Tollefson; step-mother, Kristine Tollefson; siblings, Alfred, Harry, Jurgen, Einar, Erling, Ingeborg and Anna; as well as good friends and caretakers at Ponder/Chandler Place.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 30, 2005 at 11 a.m. in the Jacobson Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Williams officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the L'Anse Evergreen Cemetery.
