Irma Ingrid Marinich

Irma Ingrid Marinich, age 90 of Skanee, MI passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 11, 1930 in Hancock, MI daughter of Lauri and Mamie (Waisanen) Kilpela. Irma grew up in Aura and graduated from L'Anse High School in 1948. She married Raymond C. Marinich on january 28, 1950 in Milwaukee, WI where they resided until 1979 when they moved to Skanee. They were snowbirds, first in Florida for 10 years and 11 years in Texas. Irma enjoyed crocheting, and she and Raymond loved to dance and play pinochle with friends.

Surviving are her children whom she loved so much, Linda (Russ) Brunner of Eagle, WI, Laura (Gene) Cristan of Milwaukee, Robert (Cheryl) Marinich of Milwaukee, Leona (Tom) Magnant of L'Anse, Lisa Marinich of Skanee, Lois (Dan) Roth of Port Washington, WI; brother, Edward (Darlene) Kilpela of Aura; grandchildren, Jesse, Tommy, Karistina, Naomi, Julie, Erica, Felicia, Josh; great grandchildren; and a special friend Dewey.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband Raymond; son Ray Allen; sister Shirley Crepeau; and granddaughter Kristi Magnant.

Irma's friends may join the family for a graveside service on Tuesday, August 11th at 11:00 a.m. in the Skanee Cemetery with Rev. Richard Little officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church. Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
