James McCart, 77, of Florence, Wisconsin, died Thursday morning, December 30, 2004 at the VA Regional Medical Center in Iron Mountain, Michigan following a lengthy illness.
James was born June 28, 1927, in Atlanta, Georgia, a son of the late James and Dorothy Knight.
Mr. McCart was a veteran of WWII having served in the army and navy. He worked for several years as a drywaller.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Loonsfoot) McCart, formerly of L'Anse, now residing in Florence, WI; daughter, Debra Eichorst of Elk Grove, IL; step-daughters, Dolly (Daniel) Ritchie of Wilson, MI and Bridget (Donald) LeRoy of Escanaba, MI; sister, Louise (Robert) Duggan of Buford, GA; 7 step-grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; aunt, Elizabeth Galer of L'Anse; sisters-in-law; Dorothy (Duane) Ehlinger and Rose (John) Williams, both of Green Bay, WI; beloved dog, Sparky; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 3, 2005 at 2 p.m. in the Jacobson Funeral Home with Pastor John Henry officiating. Visitation will be from 12 Noon until the time of the service in the funeral home. Interment will be in the spring in the Assinins Cemetery.
