Jean C. Almli

Jean C. Almli, age 79 of L'Anse, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2002 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital.
She was born August 4, 1922 in Ripley, MI daughter to the late Charles and Agatha (Wilson) Auger. In 1938 she moved to Alberta from Hancock, and graduated from Pequaming High School. Jean worked for Speciality Sales in L'Anse retiring in 1975. She married Paul "Tutta" Almli on May 2, 1975. Jean was a member of the United Methodist Church in L'Anse.
She is survived by her husband Paul "Tutta" of L'Anse; brother, Clayton (Marcella) Auger of L'Anse; sister, Marilyn Hafbauer of Ionia, MI; son, Harold (Theresa) Blom of Jackson, MI; daughter Gayle (Curtis) Watkins of Howell, MI; stepson, Biddle Almli of L'Anse; stepdaughter Alyce (Gerald) Seratti of L'Anse; five grandchildren, Kelly Stowe, Ronald Duguay, Beth Jarzebak, Jennifer Boehnke, David Blom; six great grandchildren.
Jean is preceded in death by two sisters, Winifred Selden and Charlotte Saarinen; a brother, Calvin Auger.
A memorial service will be held onThursday, March 7, at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church. Rev. David Snyder will officiate. Burial will be in the L'Anse Evergreen Cemetery in spring. The Jacobson Funeral Home of L'Anse is assisting the family.
